I believe that we all have the power to transform our lives and in effect be forces of change for our world. Finding my voice to say this has been a long journey and one that I am very grateful for.

Having grown up the youngest child and only girl within a family of two older brothers, I was always trying to “be heard” to prove that I was not far behind them. This in many ways I think distorted my authentic voice. Eventually what I felt on the inside and expressed on the outside became two different things. My truth would sneak out here and there, but always found its way back inside to “safety”, as I was fearful of exposing myself in any way that was not acceptable.

While I have lived a good deal of my life in my truth as an adventurer, journeyor and explorer, my true voice in many ways was silenced. My actions, like for many of us, always spoke louder than my words – however my life felt incongruent without being able to articulate to the outside all that I was feeling, thinking, dreaming on the inside. A major turning point for me was when I found my way back to singing (something I loved to do as a child). I had just moved to New York City and I showed up to a sold-out singers’ workshop with my guitar and my conviction that I wanted to sing. They must have sensed how important this was to me because they let me in. Over the moon about this, my excitement propelled me to volunteer as the first singer. I had prepared an Indigo Girls song which starts out, “I’m trying to tell you something about my life…” and then I continued on through the first verse. The teacher stopped me, smiled and said, “Sing to us about your life. We want to hear about YOUR LIFE Tabby.” At this point, I had no choice but to go into my truth and WOW -- the door that had been locking down my voice got kicked wide open!

Singing for me has been a major pathway to my true voice and vision and in effect has transformed every aspect of my life. I have found that my voice is one of deep hope and carries a true belief that we can make our world a better place for ourselves, our children and for generations to come. Every word we speak and every action we take makes a difference. Lotus Blossom Style grew out of this understanding.

As a yoga teacher, I have been deeply connected to and inspired by the Hindu and Buddhist traditions. They have provided teachings for me that have taken me outside of my habits and allowed me to grow in gentle and sometimes very challenging ways into higher awareness and consciousness and in effect given me a much richer and deeper experience of life which I take great joy in sharing. Lotus Blossom Style's comfy clothing is infused with this joy of learning and growing!

I see Lotus Blossom Style as platform to empower one another to live our Truth and help bring this world closer together in understanding so that we can in fact some day have peace on Mother Earth.

When I am not working on Lotus Blossom Style, I practice and teach yoga, sing and songwrite, play guitar, run by the ocean, and spend lots of time with my fiance, friends and family.

I am grateful to my family for their love and support through my often unpredictable journey.

Lindsay is an actress, artist and teacher living in Los Angeles. It is Lindsay’s artwork that graces all of the Lotus Blossom Style clothing. Her designs are inspired through meditation, ancient wisdom and sacred symbols as well as a collaboration with Tabby, the creator and director of Lotus Blossom Style. Lindsay’s art is deeply influenced by her work as a modern-day priestess, honoring a connection to nature and the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine. Her work supports the union of the Divine Feminine with the Divine Masculine as the One Light within all. Lindsay is grateful to be a part of a company created in consciousness and hopes the clothing that her designs adorn are enjoyed by all!
